Today's panel discussion member is Taiga, Iku, Haruka, Mai, Riho and Chiaki.
Their town is looking out on a serious problem that how to dispose a lot of garbage, not only household garbages but also industrial wastes, and where should they build a waste disposal place. However, they must ask permission for urban residents and suburb residents to build a waste disposal place. From these things, their topic is how to dispose a huge garbages and where should they build a waste disposal place!!!
Taiga is sixty, she is from Russia, runs a jewelry shop,
Iku is forty-two, he is from China, have a big factly.
Haruka is thirty-five, she is from Japan, have a husband and one daughter and one son,
Mai is fifty-five, she is professor of university,
Riho is sixty-eight, she is farmer, like corns very much.
Chiaki is from Canada, she is college student.
Important point of this panel discussion was that what are there any solutions to persuade both urban and suburb residents and what kind of advantages and disadvantages does this project have. Before we think about solution, we should take care of reasons why does our town's garbage increase. Panel member answered a variety of reasons, but I felt all of them is vague answer and I couldn't understand why does our town's garbage increase. So they should prepare a lot of deep ideas, and they should think about background too. When I listen their discussion, I felt each member's opinion have no consitency. I understood each opinoin have no relation. However, it must be false. From these things, each member should make clear their position and opinion.
Finally, I think the most important things in panel discussion is that how the moderator manage the discussion. So if their moderator have a good job, their discussion will be more meaningful discussion!!!

Panel Discussion No.1
First group member was Yosaku, mariko, sakiko, chihiro and atushi.
Their shops are in an arcaded street. However, a big shopping mall was built near the arcade. From this case, their shop's finance get more and more difficult because many people are go to shopping to the big shopping mall but to their arcaded street. So their topic is how to take back many customers to their arcaded street.
Yosaku is fifty-four and he is from Korea, marrid person, have three children, fishing is his hobby, a high school graduate, he runs a fruit and vegitable shop.
Mariko is thirty-seven and she is from Japan, married person, have no child, watching TV is her hobby, a junior high school graduate, she runs a clothes shop.
Sakiko is forty-five and she is from Japan, once experience a divorce, playing Kendo is her hobby, a high school graduate, she runs a sake shop.
Chihiro is twenty-eight and she is from Japan, unmarried person, flower arrangement is her hobby, a vocational school graduate, she runs a shop that sells cheap sweets.
Atushi is sixty-three and he is from Taiwan, unmarried person, combination party is his hobby, he runs a noodle shop.
Important points of this panel discussion was that what are there any solutions to take back a lot of customers and why is their arcade's finance going down. This group member proposed a variety of solutions, but I think all of them was too difficult to be realized. Their arcade is bad finance. On the other hand, they say some solution which cannot be realized on their finance. For example, hold a summer festival, make a original character, distribute a gift card and make a point card. I felt there was a contradiction!! I think they should consult a solution of bad finance firstly. Although their opinion have no consistency, I felt their enthusiasm for taking back a customer. I think it is important things when the people say own opinions.
Finally, if they make a effective panel discussion, they should speak loudly. If the listener cannot follow what panelist says, the listener lose interest for the panel discussion!!
